The Current Affairs group meets at 1.30pm on the 4th Thursday of the month in The Old Cock in Didsbury.

We're very informal, no set agenda, we share views and opinions about a range of issues in the news- sometimes this confirms what we think, at other times we find ourselves being challenged and having to justify ourselves and maybe even modify our views! Debate is sometimes very lively!

The Current Affairs Group was started to discuss news, current issues and other areas of concerns affecting our lives.

Our meetings are very lively with everyone who comes joins in the discussion.

The aim of the group is not only to contribute but also to learn from others' experiences & knowledge. We do not aim this to be a serious class room type environment with a lot of study/course material to take on board.

It's as serious or light as you want it to be. Everyone will take what they want or need from the group.

Most of all we want to make it a fun & safe environment in which to express our opinions.
