39 intrepid members set off on the Holiday group’s Weston super Mare holiday on the last week of January. We enjoyed a 4 night stay at the Royal Grosvenor Hotel from Monday to Friday. We had luxury coach travel from Manchester to Weston super Mare, 4 nights at the hotel on half board and daily excursions by coach to attractions in the area. All of this for a staggeringly cheap sum of £279!

The weather was cold but mainly dry with just a little rain on the Tuesday morning. We visited Ludlow, Ross on Wye,  Monmouth, Cheltenham, Symonds Yat Rock, Stow-on-the-Wold, Tintern Abbey and Bath. The sights were marvellous and when we returned to our hotel, we were entertained after dinner by various artists each evening where there was much merry-making and dancing by all and sundry.

Many of the holiday makers were already known to each other but many were also new to the group and it was great to make new friends. A huge thank you to Anne Clarke who organised the holiday through “Just4groups”. It all went very smoothly thanks to her hard work and Tracey, our coach driver, was also a star and dined and danced with us every evening.
