Our walk started out with that horrible drizzly rain but it soon dried up. We caught the bus from Stockport to Vernon Park and everything seemed to go swimmingly until we discovered that one of our group had not got off the bus with the rest of us and carried on to Marple! I could kick myself for not realising this and was very surprised to get a call from her after 20 minutes walking telling me that she was still on the bus. Sadly, she missed our walk but I’m sure that she had a very nice day in Marple. That aside, the rest of our walk was enjoyable, making sure that we didn’t lose anyone else. From Vernon Park, we walked to Brinnington and then into Reddish Vale Country Park. From here we carried on into Reddish where we enjoyed a very nice meal at the Carousel pub.
