March 1st was St David’s Day and the Welsh group celebrated with a party . 

There were daffodils and leeks and flags in abundance.

We wrote in Welsh about the life of St David and about Welsh traditions

We sang the Welsh National Anthem and Calon LAN  all in Welsh. We listened to a translation of the hymn that was written by the late Malcolm Cowen and then tucked in to leek quiche Welsh cakes and bara brith.
