The Holiday Group currently organises coach trips around the UK and they are a good way to get to know other people in our U3A. In 2015 we had three holidays; Barry in Wales, Oxford and the latest was to Pitlochry in Scotland. We also had two trips; the first was a trip to Pitlochry and the second was a trip to the Northumberland Coast. In 2016 we had a trip in May to Newquay to take in the Eden Project and Hanging Gardens of Helligan and in September we went over to Ireland to explore the South East.

As you can see, we are definitely moving around the UK and we find the trips to be a good mix of walking and talking. Back at the hotel there is not always organised entertainment but we can either chat to each other, go for a walk, or just read a book. Post holiday we meet up again and share our digital photographs and memories.

We have also had a couple of day trips out and hopefully there will be more to come.
